Webinar on ‘Joy & Happiness’ conducted by Sri Healthcare-Research International (SHRI) in collaboration with P.G College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu

We are excited and happy to share with all regarding the Webinar conducted on ‘Joy and Happiness’ by P.G College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu in Collaboration with Sri Healthcare-Research International (SHRI).

We are grateful and inspired by the speakers of the Webinar – Peerzada Mohammad Yousaf (Chief Gusest), Dr. Sangita Nagari (Patron, Principal of Govt. P.G College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu), Prof. (Dr.) Aarti Bakshi (H.O.D. Dept. Of Psychology, University of Jammu), Ambika Kumari (Co-ordinator), Prof. N.K. Saxena (PhD., Retired Principal and HOD Psychology, PPN (PG) College (CSJM University), Kanpur.

Our Founder Sanghamitra Sau Sengupta also spoke in the Webinar regarding the Happiness that is to be found and experienced within Self., along with a small practice of Laughter Yoga.

Prof. (Dr.) Aarti Bakshi spoke on the importance of Prosocial behavior and it inherently creating sustaining and inherent happiness. She also spoke of how happiness can be multiplies and experienced in amplification when shared with others.

Our honored Chief Guest, Peerzada Mohammad Yousaf spoke of the rat race that nowadays most young adults and students thinking of their jobs and financial income to be a measure of happiness, and how that in turn creates pressure, jealousy, negative competition and other negative emotions. He also spoke of happiness being derived from the actions that have a meaning and purpose for us, and which give us self-satisfaction. He also spoke of the need for incorporating Yoga for our physical health and happiness as well.

Prof. N.K Saxena sir spoke of the overall health and its relation with happiness, rather than only happiness of the mind. He also spoke passionately and beautifully of the role of Parenting, Parental attitude, emotional availability and providing safe, secure and explorative environment to children since young age to cultivate their resilience and ensuring their Happiness temperament. He spoke excellently about the difference between Negative and Positive Happiness and also between genuine happiness and ‘air hostess smile’.

Our Founder Sanghamitra Sau Sengupta spoke beautifully about Happiness being an emotional state felt from within and in our Self, and how we can remain in the state of happiness if we choose and are conscious our Holistic Self and Being.

We were overwhelmed by the response, and agreement of fellow participants and colleagues on the discussed topics and motivation that each one showed to work towards sustainable happiness and supporting others in their quest of happiness.

 We are overjoyed and truly grateful that we could reach to a wide range of students and be of resource to them in these difficult and uncertain times.
